Location
We decided that the locations for our horror teaser trailer would be the boiler room at the school because the room is dark and looks like a basement which creates tension for the audience. The boiler room is made for horror, as it's dark, there's puddles on the floor, and the room looks unfinished which creates suspense and makes the location scary for the audience watching.
We also got shots down a dark alleyway to make it feel like the victim was vulnerable as she is being followed by the killer. The location was a good choice because we filmed when it was just getting dark, so the only lights we had were the streetlights which captured the silhouette of the killer. We also had shots in the daytime of our victim running down the alleyway, getting away from the killer. We used the school car park for our filming because we thought it would be a good place to have our kidnapping scene where our killer puts our victim in the back of a van.
