QUestion 3 - What have you learned from your audience feedback?
Feedback on trailer
Conclusion:
Positives:
Killer lit subtlety, also hands and cards with blood Use of bleach bypass, creates contrast Unique idea of gambling, subject that worries parents, frightens people, clever storyline Gave enough to realise it is a horror about gambling Blood on hands stood out and the cards Overcast look for majority Real sense of drama, intense shadows Bloody hand most iconic Reverse shot of blood Sound built up towards the end and built tension |
Negatives:
Sound rose too much without a real reason, didn't always match the intensity of the clips Couple of rough cuts |
From this research, we have discovered that our horror would attract a lot of attention if it were actually made into a movie. As a trailer we think it is very successful in fulfilling it's aim of encouraging an audience to want to watch the film it is for, however if we were making it again, we would consider changing the sound to something more appropriate in order to better match with the clips and titles.

Conclusion
From conducting this research, we have received a lot of useful feedback. We know that if this were made into a film there would be interest in it as our feedback shows the trailer is enticing and makes members of the audience want to watch it. In general, it appears everyone liked the concept of our film which was one of our main aims when producing the trailer. We do not think there are any improvements that need to be made to our trailer as we are very happy with the outcome and feedback we have received.
